At Riverside, if you need us for urgent care, we’re here to help, and your pet will be seen at our practice by the same familiar team in a place they know and trust. Emergency care is available around the clock, when required each and every day of the year.
When an emergency arises, we understand that getting veterinary attention, and as quickly as possible, is of the utmost importance. Detailed below is the simple instructions for using our out of hours service. Although straight forward, we would always recommend having a read prior to an emergency situation.
- Phone our normal 24 hour telephone; Small animal 02380 620607 or Equine 02380 620605
- You will automatically be diverted to our pager system. The answering service will ask for your name and contact telephone number
- These will be passed to the duty vet who will then return your call and provide assistance
- In the unlikely event that you have not received a response within 15 minutes, please repeat this process
