Vaccinations:
Kittens will have full protection against Flu, Enteritis and Leukemia from 1 week after their second vaccination. Your cat will require annual boosters to maintain immunity.

Worming:
We recommended round worming kittens monthly until they are 6 months of age. Many of the flea products we supply have a round wormer included e.g., Credelio cat & Advocate. We recommend a tape wormer every 3 months, more often if your cat is a hunter.

Flea Prevention:
Prevention is better than cure. Did you know it can take up to 3 months to get a flea infestation under control? Most products need to be given monthly, either by a spot on or a palatable tablet.

Riverside Pet Community – RPC
Our healthcare plan is a great way to spread the cost of routine preventative healthcare, parasite products and annual booster vaccinations alongside services such as neutering. The membership has many benefits including unlimited Nurse and Veterinary consultations by appointment during normal working hours

Please refer to our practice brochure or ask a member of our team for further information.
RPC is not insurance, so we strongly encourage insurance to help cover non routine illness or injury.

Insurance:
We believe it is best to insure your pet in case of unexpected illness or injury. Riverside can organize 4 weeks free insurance for your Kitten, please speak to a member of our team.

Feeding:
In general, we advise feeding a complete dry diet. It is important to ensure that your Kittens growth is appropriately supported, so good quality kitten food is essential. The premium diets include Royal Canin & Hills.

Teeth:
It is possible to brush teeth! This is ultimately the best way to help prevent dental disease. Your kitten can be trained at an early age to accept and enjoy this daily routine. The toothpaste must be designed for cats (please do not use a human toothpaste). Speak to a member of our team for tips on how to start tooth brushing.

Neutering:
If you are not planning to breed from your cat, we would generally advise neutering. We can neuter from 4 months of age.
